| The PARK Project was
conceived and launched in 1995 by Positively Healthy and Kingston
and Richmond Health Authority (KRHA), as a multi-thousand pound
project to benefit local residents living with HIV. It was led
by Cass Mann, CEO of Positively Healthy and Martin Weaver, Public
Health Specialist at KRHA. |
|
The aim of the PARK Project is to: "Develop
community based AIDS prevention strategies that enhance good
health in people who are HIV positive, thereby seeking to
prevent their progression to AIDS defining illnesses."
The users of this project will be residents in Richmond and
Kingston-upon-Thames who are HIV positive and may or may not
be using local services, as well as others who are not yet
ready to have an HIV test. The project will be based with
Positively Healthy.
