2005 not only is the 60th anniversary of the extermination in concentration camps by the Nazis of 6 million Jews, but also of the extermination in these of an unknown, and unknowable, number of gay men (thought to be in excess of 20,000). Whilst Holocaust-deniers of the Jewish death toll face litigation and silencing world-wide, gay men are still fair game with many historians and social anthropologists denying their extermination.
