When African doctors and health educators describe the HIV/AIDS epidemic in their countries a very different picture emerges from that presented by western doctors and health educators and their projections and descriptions are radically divergent. A recent press release by the African National Congress denounced UK's Medical Research Council for publishing misleading and inaccurate HIV/AIDS data on Africa. We present data below which suggests that east and west do not meet when AIDS in Africa is discussed and what is happening in Africa has still not properly been discribed.
